PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD), MacBook (all models), MacBook Pro (all models), MacBook Pro (17-inch) (all models) and MacBook Air
The battery calibration for the PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD) and any model of MacBook or MacBook Pro has been updated because of a new battery released with this computer. With these computers, follow these steps to calibrate your battery:

- Plug in the power adapter and fully charge your PowerBook's battery until the light ring or LED on the power adapter plug changes to green and the onscreen meter in the menu bar indicates that the battery is fully charged.

- Allow the battery to rest in the fully charged state for at least two hours. You may use your computer during this time as long as the adapter is plugged in.

- Disconnect the power adapter while the computer still on and start running the computer off battery power. You may use your computer during this time. When your battery gets low, the low battery warning dialog appears on the screen.
At this point, save your work. Continue to use your computer; when the battery gets very low, the computer will automatically go to sleep.

- Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more.

- Connect the power adapter and leave it connected until the battery is fully charged again.

Tip: When the battery reaches "empty", the computer is forced into sleep mode. The battery actually keeps back a reserve beyond "empty", to maintain the computer in sleep for a period of time. Once the battery is truly exhausted, the computer is forced to shut down. At this point, with the safe sleep function introduced in the PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD) computers, the computer's memory contents have been saved to the hard drive. When power is restored, the computer returns itself to its pre-sleep state using the safe sleep image on the hard drive.

Di dalem port sound itu ada semacam tombol untuk mengaktifkan fungsi port tersebut..lampu itu nyala, karena tombol didalem port tertekan, dan laptop menganggap bahwa sedang dalam mode external speakers...itulah sebabnya internal sound nya tidak berfungsi..

1. coba untuk reset PRAM nya dulu..

2. Kalo ternyata bisa, problem solved, tapi kalo masih ga bisa, coba di test pake keyboard external USB...

Coba tekan huruf nya yg sebelumnya ga nongol, apakah direspon atau tidak..
kalo ada respon pada keyboard viewer, tetapi tetap tidak muncul huruf nya, maka hanya karena masalah software saja..solusi nya coba install ulang..
tetapi, apa bila tidak ada respon pada keyboard viewer, maka kemungkinan besar, permasalahan ada pada hardware, solusi nya adalah ganti keyboard dan topcase nya (untuk macbook, keyboard dan topcase satu kesatuan)..

Demikian dari saya, semoga dapat membantu...

alternatif 2:
bila ternyata hardware nya.. misal sblmnya kecipratan air atau mungkin berembun di dalamnya..

buka bagian topcase (liat www.ifixit.com) cabut socket2 yg terhubung dengan logicboard nya.. bersihkan dan diamkan dulu..

bila solved brarti yg bermasalah ada pada konektornya yg terhambat..

apabila langkah2 ini tidak bisa.. brarti harus ganti

Mac tiba2 mati

cara 1
finder --> utility --> disk utility -->
- lakukan *verify disk permission
- lakukan verify disk
- lakukan repair permission disk
- lakukan repair disk *

* khusus untuk repair permission disk klo tidak aktif lakukan via installer osx, caranya :
masukan installer > restart > setelah opening sound tekan "optiop" sampai keluar pilihan booting > pilih boot via Installer > masuk ke interface installer > pilih menubar (kanan atas) > pilih disk utility > pilih repair disk

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.

cara4
Resetting PRAM/NVRAM
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
6. Release the keys.

LCD ga mau nyala

pake cara awal yg umum dl
yg perlu disiapin adalah DVD Installer OSX bawaan nya, yaitu dengan Disk Utility via Installer OSX.
1. masukin disk OSX
2. restart lalu tekan option agak lama
3. ada pilihan booting ? klo ada pilih yg gbr Disk
4. ikutin semua petunjuknya (pilih language)
5. setelah itu jgn lakukan instalasi, tp hanya menggunakan utlity dari installer
6. di menu bar atas ada pilihan utility, pilih disk utility
7. lakukan repair permission disk dan repair disk
8. restart.

klo cara diatas gk bisa maka pake cara kedua yaitu reseting smc (system management controller)

1. lepas kabel power dan lepas baterai mac
2. setelah dilepas semua lalu tekan tombol power selama 5 detik
3. pasang kembali baterai dan kabel power
4. lakukan restart dengan menekan tombol power

antara analog dan optikal akan bekerja secara otomatis, jika yang kamu colokkan adalah jack analog seperti headphone atau speaker eksternal, maka yang aktif adalah output analog....

tapi jika yang kamu tancapkan adalah kabel tosslink optikal, otomatis yang aktif adalah output optikal.....

yang untuk mac colokannya seperti ini, satu ujungnya seperti 3,5" jack analog satunya ya seperti digital optikal....

Apple Hardware Diagnostic Test

Untuk Mac Intel-based dengan OSX bawaan Leopard 10.5.4 maka applikasi Hardware Test ada di Installer OSX Disc 1
Untuk Mac Intel-based dengan OSX bawaan Leopard 10.5.5 maka applikasi Hardware Test ada di installer OSX Disc 2
Untuk Mac Intel-based dengan OSX bawaan Snow Leopard 10.6 maka applikasi bawaan ada di Installer OSX Disc 2

caranya

Jika Mac dalam kondisi "On" masukin Installer Disk OSX, trus reboot
Jika Mac dalam kondisi "Off" nyalakan Mac kemudian masukin Disc sesegera mungkin
Tekan + Tahan "D" sebelum startup layar berwarna "abu2", ntar akan nongol icon dibawah ini pada layar
setelah proses inspeksi awal selesai, pilih bahasa trus tekan return/enter
interface hardware test akan nongol, silahkan pilih opsi test
ada 2 opsi pilihan test, basic dan thorough, basic test ini untuk cek secara umum, thorough test untuk test secara mendetai

Notes:

basic test lebih singkat dan cepat, relative di gw pernah coba sekitar 15-30 menit
thorough test lebih rinci tp lebih lama,..jangan tanya berapa lama,.bisa2 seharian penuh
lepas smua devices yg terkoneksi dengan Mac sebelum dilakukan test

ada yang bisa jelasin kenapa bisa kaya gini.. kenapa kok ane ngecas lampunya malah hijau yang dimana

seharusnya normalnya berwarna oranye.

Silakan lihat dan pelajari di sana ada update ttg battery issue macbook keluaran 2007 yang tidak bs charging. Kalau memang sesuai dgn model anda coba aja; mudah2an beres.
